Appmystate competition is run by the Australian government to patronize the development of new applications in software for the benefit of its citizens. This software is created with Apache wicket framework. Richard has been a contributor to Apache Network and has been the creator of “Visural wicket” of this application.
Apart from the content, relating to the community, there is use of API which gives impetus to the contribution of the visitors too. This portal provides best information about the community and its events. Apart from this, the user experience is enriched with the APIS from Google Maps, Google Charts , Facebook Connect, and other Open source APIs . These APIs provide impetus to the user’s contribution to the portal thereby providing enriched user experience. This way this portal provides information regarding the insider knowledge about the community.
