Weceem – A Content Management System Built With Grails

Weceem an Open Source CMS written with the Grails application framework which very easily merges your own Grails applications.

By using Groovy there is no limitation, letting Weceem to customize URL paths, administration skin, the security mechanisms, more options to customize data types and server-side scripting. It uses the most basics of applications to fuse it self with other application as well as a standalone application.

Weceem uses an SQL database for storage and requires Java servlet container like Jetty or Tomcat to run.

The latest version 0.9 release has the basic functions to manage a website. Weceem .org is self-hosting, and demonstrates the data model and core functionality.

Among the features are:

•    Full-text search capability
•    Support for virtual nodes that allow content to appear in multiple places in the hierarchy
•    Everything is editable. Templates for pages, widgets within pages, style sheets etc.
•    Support for varied content types, including server file-system directories and files mapped into the URI space
