WinWSD – Download Whole Website When Browser Is Offline

A lot of us have often purchased and downloaded E-books, so that we can carry them anywhere and read them at our own leisure time, and for those of you who wish we could do a similar thing with browsers, well, here’s good news for ya! WinWSD lets you do exactly whatever you wished for. You can download your website and browse it later on.

WinWSD is free offline browser software that can be used to download an entire website with movies and pictures to your computer. This program which is less than 3MB is as simple to use as they get! You are given the option to choose and skip the files while you download. While downloading you can skip the multimedia files or just download the executable files, as you prefer. What makes WinWSD stand out is that fact that it lets you identity multiple “start pages”, that basically means that it will crawl through and download the entire sections of your website. You can later browse each website from those starting points.

To get started, you just have to install WinwWSD and just go to “New Project“, create a new folder for your local copy, and then the Project Settings window will open and you can take it from there. It in a way creates a mirror of the website, you can read and browse most of the downloaded website and files without a network connection, you can access all the scripts, images and videos but there is a possibility that external links or images won’t work offline.
