bi.gl – Bookmark Short URL of Your Favourite Websites

Technology hasn’t ceased to fascinate human beings enough. A new age technology has yet again emerged taking the web world by a storm. The modern, fast paced generation looks for ways to make work easier, simpler and shorter. Probably this very concept made the developers of bi.gl come up with this new age web application.

Have you ever noticed that whenever a link to a URL needs to be copied and pasted some of the content misses out? Well, this problem has been solved. Thanks to bi.gl.

bi.gl is a new web application that helps shorten Uniform Resource Locator (URL). URL shortening is a new age technique on the web that allows a provider make web pages available under very short URLs in addition to the original address. For the timing following functions of bi.g are available in version 1.0 of the API: create.php. This function creates new short URLs from a long URL. In the future the application promises that user accounts and full statistics will also be available in shorter links.
The technology currently is in the beta stage and adds few new features on a day to day basis. The application can be bookmarked by dragging and dropping it into the bookmark toolbar. When one clicks on the bookmarked link in the toolbar, a short URL for the site will be automatically created, without having to visit the bi.gl site directly.
