FeedLing – Windows-Based RSS reader

Feedling is a Windows-based RSS reader and is a .NET 3.5 WPF app that is tested on XP, Vista and 7 (both x86 and x64) and works on 2000 as well.

Feedling installation:

To install Feedlings just follow the normal program prompts where you can find the list of Feedling in the menu and read your feeds on your desktop just by opening the program.

Setting Up the Feedling:

Once when you open the program you can find an icon with orange color, right click on the icon and select “Configuration”  option and start adding feeds(i.e., you can insert the feed URL) where you can also modify the look such as font size and color.

Now that we have started adding feeds, initially they appear one the desktop one after the other and if you want to move the feeds to the other place you can do it with a right click on the orange icon as discussed above and select “Move Mode.” option.

When you want to give a similar look to all your feeds select one of the feed available and click on the “Duplicate” button with this feature you don’t need to redo all the settings for each feed that you enter. The configuration window here lets you delete/edit feeds and where you can even import and export subscriptions from and to another feed reader (XML files).

Read Your Feeds From Your Desktop:

In addition to all the settings that are discusses a standard feature of this application is that you don’t need to open or navigate to some reader to find your feeds you can now see them on your desktop using feedlings.

•    Plugin-based architecture let users to write their own parsers.
•    Allows you to read any number of feeds and can chucks a maximum of 10 items onto your desktop,     refreshing for every 10 minutes.
•    Customizes various bits and pieces such as font, colour, proxy, credentials and refresh interval.
