Twinfluence – Calculate the Indirect Influence of You and Your Followers on Twitter

Once if we take an overview of the entire twitter system, in its discussion we have taught about the twitter followers that included both the users whom you are following and the users you are followed back. Now this twitter service system has introduced yet another application called twInfluence that uses the Twitter API to measure the combined influence of twitterers and their followers along with a few social network statistics where 252,248 twitterers have profiles analyzed on twinfluence.com. Perhaps the most important thing that is to be focused on is that, it depends not only on the number of people who are following the Twitter account but also it depends on the size of the network of the followers of Twitter account. More importantly, scores are cached before they are recalculated so that it will repeat requests to the Twitter API to a minimum.

When the discussion is turned over to rankings, there are two types of ranks that are calculated by Twinfluence. These are named as named “Overall Rank” and “Grade Rank” where one assigns an absolute rank (#1!) and the other assigns a value and category where it provides a better approach for budding social media experts.

TwInfluence calculates three different scores such as:

•    Velocity: the growth of twitterers network right from the day they joined twitter
•    Social Capital: average influence of the twitterers reach
•    Centralization scores: measures the conversations of the twittered
