Boxedup – Organise Your Internet Shopping

Boxedup was launched in July 2007 by Chris Osborne and Jeremy Baines.

The fact of this tool is that it helps the users in keep tracking of the things they want to get, from any shop or store through internet and share that particular information with any one they want to share with, both on the Boxedup and also through social networks, blogs etc.

This service is tightly integrated into the search/browse experience via a browser extension/bookmarklet that is installed during registration. The social use-cases include:

•    Personal expression: share the information that you have found /want your friends.
•    Helps the people in knowing about the things that you want to get when they want to buy you something (birthday, Christmas, wedding, kids, house warming etc) communities of interest-sharing finds people who are into the same things, and benefiting from their discoveries.
This site was specially designed to help the people in organizing online shopping and allows you to bookmark products you are thinking about buying.

So it provides a different approach of getting to know about stuff and to interact with people who have the same interests.

To get started with this service, once you signed in successfully, you’re required to install an add-on for firebox or Internet Explorer, or if you prefer use the provided bookmarklet.

Finally when you start browsing an e-commerce site or product page, just with one click you can add that particular product to Boxedup.
