SproutCore is an Open-Source JavaScript framework. Its goal is to allow developers to create web applications with advanced capabilities and a user experience comparable to that of desktop applications. When developing a SproutCore application, all code is written in JavaScript (including the view layer in 1.0).

SproutCore’s build tools have a built-in facility for generating cache-optimized, multi-lingual web pages as well as full cloud applications.

Presently Sproutcore is looking at HTML5 for supporting the growing needs of device software. With growing usage of Devices rather than PC’s HTML5 platform is being looked up to as the all the devices support this platform.
