In real-time you can share the changes, you can select the people whom you want to access your documents and can be securely stored online which is completely free of cost. In the year 2006 of October month, the features of two services accumulated writing and spreadsheets which integrate into a single product. A third product for presentations, incorporating technology designed by Tonic systems, was released in the year 2007 of the month September.
In this new application of Google documents, spreadsheets, forms and presentations can be created also imported through the web interface and sent via email. By default these can be saved to the Google Servers also can be saved to the user’s computer in a variety of formats like ODF, HTML, PDF, RTF, TEXT, WORD and many more. The documents which are open will be saved automatically to prevent data loss, and a revision history will also be kept automatically. For the purpose of organizations all the documents can be tagged and archived. The service is officially supported on recent versions of the Firefox, Safari, Chrome and Internet Explorer browsers running on Microsoft Windows, Apple OS X, and Linux operating systems.
